"I was very creative as a child. Abstract and unscripted works with unusual materials was my favourite playground; my palette was forest mud, Spring-runoff slush, found objects, atypical mark makers and materials like coal and sticks, old surgical tools, stray wool and thread, torn paper, cardboard and fabric scraps, and never a pattern or instructions. Improv was my game."

"Art play has always allowed my fertile imagination to flourish, to explore and to question openly, where I sensed limits, boundaries and external judgements were simply absent. It’s when and where I felt free, fearless, and alive."
